This Chili Cheese Frito Taco Bake recipe came about after me being on a mission to find the easiest, quickest and most kid friendly recipes around.
INGREDIENTS YOU NEED TO MAKE CHILI CHEESE FRITO TACO BAKE
- 1 1/2 lbs of lean ground beef
- 1 package of taco seasoning ( I like this one the best!)
- 3/4 Cup Water
- 1 Can Cheddar Cheese Soup
- 1 Cup Milk
- 2 Cups of Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 Bag of Chili Cheese Fritos
HOW TO MAKE THE CHILI CHEESE FRITO TACO BAKE
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a 9×9 Baking Pan (HERE IS MY FAVORITE) add a layer of the Chili Cheese Fritos.
- Next in a large pan ( I Recommend this one) brown the ground beef with the minced garlic. Add the salt and pepper. Drain the fat when it’s fully browned and cook. Return the pan to the stove to
- Add the taco season and water. Mix well and let simmer for about 3-4 minutes or until the taco season has had time to thicken up. Now pour the meat over the chili cheese fritos.
- In a medium sauce pan add the can of cheddar cheese soup and 1 cup of milk. Whisk together and heat until smooth making sure you stir often. After the cheese sauce has thickened up pour this all over the Frito’s and meat making sure you evenly distribute the cheese.
- And top this off with the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Place in the 350 degree oven for 10 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted.
